Green Story | Power Quality: Pacific Century Place, Jakarta

One of the “greenest” building in SCBD Jakarta just got even greener

Customer profile and challenge

Pacific Century Place building is one of the landmark of sustainable excellence that shines through with prestigious green certifications. Located amidst the dynamic urban business district, the building accommodates essential functions including administrative offices, executive suites, and state-of-the-art conference facilities, reflecting commitment to innovation and growth.

This facility is equipped with various electrical equipment, such as UPS units, inverters, servers, and drives. These loads can be sources of multiple power quality issues, including harmonic pollution. Such issues can lead to poor power quality, bus duct failures, neutral leakage, and overheating transformers.

Solution

Oscorp Elektrik Indonesia conducted a power quality (PQ) audit and recommended implementing the modular active harmonic filter PQactiF from Hitachi Energy on the building’s low-voltage network. This solution aims to mitigate harmonics and balance the neutral, resulting in cleaner, more stable, and environmentally friendly power quality.

The PQactiF actively supports commercial buildings by enhancing output quality and efficiency, optimizing renewable energy utilization. Teguh, Chief Facility Manager at PCP, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration and utilization of PQactiF, noting the solution’s contribution to sustainability and building efficiency. The active filter’s modular design and intuitive interface have proven effective post-installation.
